ASSESSMENT
Using a variety of both standardized and non-standardized assessment tools, clinical observations, and detailed parent interviews, our therapists obtain a comprehensive picture of the child's needs. The information gathered will be used collaboratively with clients, parents, caregivers and other healthcare professionals as required to establish and set goals. This process will lay the groundwork for our Occupational Therapy services. Additionally, parents are encouraged to bring any other pertinent reports and school documents to the assessment.
Following the child's assessment, a debriefing and outline summary with parents and/or caregivers will take place, explaining clinical findings and outlining recommendations and practical strategies. For more in-depth results, parents can choose to purchase a full written report.
Strive Therapy Services also offers consultative services with parents, caregivers, teachers and other healthcare professionals. To inquire further about our services please contact us.
TREATMENT
After the assessment process, an individualized therapy plan is created. Our therapists use a variety of games, play and other modalities to develop the underlying skills needed to meet goals. Each treatment session is 45 minutes in length followed by a parent/caregiver consultation. Both individual and group sessions are offered, along with special camp sessions throughout the year.
